​How can I customize a theme?​

Well, because a theme from filemakerthemes.com is no different than any other FileMaker theme all you have to do is make your own modifications to the styles and save/update the theme. There are, however, situations where you just don't want to take the time to spend the time required for so many layout objects.

Let alone keeping them all within a consistent color scheme. WebDirect compatibility

We're glad you asked! Most of the themes we provide are WebDirect compatible. Ok, well let's call it 90% compatible. Ok, we'll let's just say it depends on how many Buttons Bars you're using. You see, as long as you're ok with squared corner Button Bars and you're not going to use the included custom objects such as the button tabs or iOS simulated tabs then you're good to go. When FileMaker initially released its own collection of themes there were a little over 50 of them. They can still be found within versions 15, 14 and possibly 13. However, in FileMaker 16 a large number of themes were removed (deprecated in developer speak) and it may be the reason you're look for themes here.

Unfortunately, anything we design has the same limitations which FileMaker's own themes suffer. This means you need to be familiar with WebDirect and you must certainly test your layout designs as you implement. A theme file from filemakerthemes.com is a head start without having to create your own from scratch. So when we say 90% compatible we're hoping you'd rather have 90% than zero!
